In February 2009 the Australian government announced an economic stimulus plan. The Energy Efficient Homes package forms part of this plan and aims to provide government funding to enable the estimated 2.9 million homes Australia wide that are not insulated or insufficiently insulated to be done so with the government's assistance. The Energy Efficient Homes package offers all home owners up to $1,600 to have roof insulation or solar hot water installed. As a home owner you could be eligible for up to $1,600 worth of free insulation and $1,000 for tenants or landlords. We can supply and install your insulation and then the governmnent will pay us directly. As the government pays the first $1,600 in most cases you will not be required to pay anything and then only the excess above this amount.
